About

My name is Cecilia Martin and I am a music educator. I graduated from Colorado State University – Pueblo with my bachelor’s degree in Music Education K-12. I currently am employed as a band and choir director with Pikes Peak Homeschool Music, in Colorado Springs.

Music has been a large part of my life from the beginning. My parents would always be playing music around the house or at church. My mother was a musician who helped me to further my musical aspirations. My father, even though he was not a musician, was always there supporting me along the way in every capacity he could. I have been very fortunate to have had people throughout my life who helped me to grow as a musician and as a person. I am extremely grateful for their investment in me.

My reasons for wanting to teach music are simple. Music is a “universal language” which I believe everyone should be able to enjoy. Gaining a deeper knowledge of the inter-workings of music allows oneself to better appreciate it as the art it is. I have been able to gain a foothold in the vast realm of music and wish to help others to gain one as well. Music brings everyone together. I simply wish to help further that goal.
